    Documentation and Manuals

The NOKIA E61 user guide and quick start guides can be found at here

  • First off, you need to be sure that your E61 can connect through the WLAN access point to something else (there's little point trying to set up the VoIP connection if we can't be sure that the underlying WLAN connection is working for the phone). If there's an internet browser on the phone, try that first.
  • As of version 2,0 of the software it supports NAT traversal. See the Nokia S60 VoIP Release 2.0 Configuration Tutorial
  • If you have a version prior of 2.0 NAT traversal is not supported So you need to have a public IP on your phone, or do port forwarding. Nokia FAQ
  • If you search in the Nokia discussions board, you'll find plenty of other folks struggling with the SIP client on the E60 and E61: search e61 sip
